How to Import Contacts to Your Hotmail

It may occur sometimes that you have created a new email address, yet your old email address contains a large number of contacts that you don't want to lose. On the contrary, you might need them to be moved to your new account. If you have control over the old account, that is not a problem in such a case. At least, in case you have a Hotmail account. By completing a simple procedure that will not consume much of your time, you are able to move your old contacts to the new account.

1. Before starting to move your contacts, you need to access the MSN website of Microsoft apps and click on Outlook.com. 
   
   
   
   
   
   In order to import contacts to your Hotmail account, you should access Outlook.com in the MSN set of apps first
2. Completing that action will actually lead you to the website of Hotmail, where you should provide your email address and click on the "Next" button. 
   
   
   
   
   
   Prior to starting the procedure of contact import, you should, in the first place, access your account
3. As usually, provide your password and click on "Sign in." 
   
   
   
   
   
   Type your password on this page and click on the blue button for accessing the account
4. After getting to see the page of your account on Hotmail, you should give a click to the button of mail settings, thus prompting a pop-up menu. In that menu, you should give a click to "Options." 
   
   
   
   
   
   In order to start the import of contacts from other email addresses of yours, you should access the menu of options in the first place
5. A large menu of options will appear on the left side. There, you should scroll down till the very bottom of that menu and go to "People" > "Import Contacts." 
   
   
   
   
   
   By going to "People" > "Import Contacts", you will access the page where you can, actually, import contacts from other email addresses of yours
6. On that page, you will get to see different email services, and you should choose the one you have used before. Click on the respective icon. 
   
   
   
   
   
   This way appears to be a set of actions that you need to do in order to import contacts from Gmail
7. After doing so, you will notice a set of actions provided by Outlook. It shows how to save the contacts from your old email address onto your computer. Follow the instructions and save your contacts.
8. Once the contacts have been saved onto your PC, click on the "Browse" button, find the file with the contacts on your PC, and click on the "OK" button.
9. Then, you will notice that it will take at least a few minutes for the system to upload the contacts. Once the procedure is finalized, you will receive a notification about it. Since that very moment, you will get to see the old contacts in your new email and you will be able to use them the way you wish.
